Wednesday - A Much Better Snow Run

Yesterday's slippery Teflon snow had softened and re-frozen, providing much better footing on Wednesday after work. That's what I'm talkin' about.

This was mostly a street run, but the snow was more interesting.

Most of the flowers, branches and yucca leaves had broken free of the snow cover, and almost everything above the snow had an empty impression in the snow below it, almost like a shadow. It's as if either the snow melted and dripped downwards, or the branch or whatever was weighed down and then popped out of the snow (which I doubt). Odd, but I never noticed it before.

It was a flat light, but the sky was a varied pink and blue pastel.

Distance was 6.16 miles, time 1:17 (moving 1:05), elevation gain/loss 946 feet, avg. pace 12:30 (moving 10:37), and best pace roughly 8:00.
