Clinton Gulch Snowshoe

Just me and and a few tweety-birds were on this Saturday outing. Even though this is right off Highway 91, once I got off the road a bit, there was nothing but silent forest and brilliant sunshine. Wind in the pines and squirrels dropping stuff sounded loud by comparison.

The snow pack is indeed scary right now. Even along the lake shore on moderate slopes, I'd be walking along and fractures would appear uphill the snow would audibly settle a fraction of an inch.
