Sunday Bear Creek Lake Park Run

I ran at one of Lakewood's large city parks on Sunday: Bear Creek Lake Park. I'm glad I got the annual pass, I just pull up and they wave me through. And I get more value out of this pass than you can imagine; I may run here for a full month out of the year. Nice riparian terrain and a big reservoir.

This was my coyote shadow during the run; we crossed paths a couple of times:

It was about 15 degrees with intermittent sun, and I did struggle a little with the cold, but it was mainly my face. I wore some fleece mittens that worked pretty well. However, my struggles with a frozen Buff left me wondering whether a neoprene ski mask would have been better, given the time of almost two hours.

Distance was 8.37 miles, time 1:55 (moving 1:33), elevation gain/loss 584 feet, avg. pace 13:51 (moving 11:14), and best pace 7:50.
