Saturday Bear Creek Lake Park Run

It was hot on this run: 90+ degrees in the sun. That is one reason I chose to run at Bear Creek: the shade of the trees along the creek, and the prevalence of water at various trailheads throughout the park.

I soaked my head under the faucet at each water stop, and drenched my cap so as to cool my head. It was tolerable, but I was still slowing down by mile 10 or so.

Distance was 11.62 miles, time 2:30 (moving 2:03), elevation gain/loss 468 feet, avg. pace 12:59 (moving 10:39), and best pace 7:29.
