Monday Crown Hill Lake Run

When I run here, I'm reminded that we have a family plot at the cemetery next door. I didn't even grow up in Colorado, yet here I am, visiting this park in my daily routine many years later, somewhat coincidentally. I think of my grandparents. Small world.

This was the week after the torrential rains in Colorado, and things were still a bit soggy. On my run around Crown Hill Lake I splashed through puddles with abandon, now desensitized to the water covering my trails.

That time of day when it is neither light nor dark:

Distance was 5.11 miles, time 51:40 (moving 47:53), elevation gain/loss 68 feet, avg. pace 10:06 (moving 9:22), and best pace 7:20.
