Thursday Bear Creek Lake Run

There was a hill along Morrison Road with singletrack up it, that I had never run. It was only a short section, but I wanted to check it out. Turns out the trail goes to the top, then drops into the park.

This spider was about as big as my camera, i.e. 3 1/4 inches long, and looked a lot like "tarantula lite". The thing was huge, and was amazingly patient as I repeatedly attempted to take its picture. I consider myself lucky to see these things.

Distance was 6.26 miles, time 1:25 (moving 1:13), elevation gain/loss 489 feet, avg. pace 13:41 (moving 11:42), and best pace 7:57.
