This weekend has been rainy, and this run was started on the edge of rain showers. I got about 45 minutes of running in before rain and thunder started.
Near the top of my climb up some unknown mountain in O'Fallon Park, the rain started. I had not gotten soaked in some time, so in a way I welcomed it. Colorado has been on the verge of catching fire for so long, I really don't mind getting soaking wet. I ran the last couple of miles in a moderate rain, and was totally soaked when I got back to the parking lot. I stretched out under the awning of a kiosk and then drove home.
Distance was 5.16 miles, time 1:00 (moving 51:58), elevation gain/loss 649 feet, avg. pace 11:48 (moving 10:04), and best pace 6:09.
