I ran two loops on top, roughly 5 miles each. Steady pace and decent cadence.
I passed several groups more than once, and a woman with a teen remarked as I made my final descent after a good two hours of passing by: "You should be on the front of Runner's World!" and I said I'd definitely put that up on my wall :) I was not moving that fast, but hey, I'll take the kudos. I do put in some work.
And there are local folks who actually do make the cover of Runner's World, because unlike me they are phenomenal athletes.
Distance was 12.21 miles, time 2:23 (moving 2:08), elevation gain/loss 909 feet, avg. pace 11:47 (moving 10:32), and best pace 7:38.
According to Strava, Scott Jaime already took my CR on one of the segments at Staunton State Park (I was the first person on that segment because it was a new park). But he's a pro, so I'm OK with that, and I have utterly no hope of regaining it.
