Tuesday Clear Creek Area Run

Rain clouds left a narrow dry corridor along the Clear Creek basin after work, so that's where I ran. I found enough interesting stuff to stop me for 20 minutes, according to the watch. A dreary evening with flat light, but still warm and getting green.

Two guys were stopped next to the path and a huge camera was mounted on a tripod, pointing up. This juvenile owl is what they were taking photos of:

And the parent was in a nearby tree:

Jut a man-made irrigation ditch from a bridge, but it looked nice:

I'd been running and mainly walking near Clear Creek for years, and never knew there was a covered path through some swampy areas to a neighborhood on the north side.

Distance was 8.46 miles, time 1:47 (moving 1:27), elevation gain/loss 242 feet, avg. pace 12:43 (moving 10:23), and best pace 7:15.

A slow run, somewhat fatigued.
