Tuesday Bear Creek Run

Between daylight savings and permission to split up my later work day creatively (after 4 PM), I'm getting in some better weekday runs. I actually managed 10 miles in daylight -- with hills. It feels great and I'm definitely happier.

I ran on the Bear Creek path over to Bear Creek Lake, and up Mount Carbon -- really just a big hill next to the lake.

Human footprints, fat tires, fox prints:

I couldn't pick which photo I liked best. So why choose.

I seem surprised that I made it to the top of the hill:

Not sure if it was really shorts weather (it was just above freezing and only high school kids were in shorts) but that's all I had in the car today. It worked, but I was really glad I had the shell to help keep the heat in once the sun got low in the sky.

Distance was 10.88 miles, time 2:02 (moving 1:44), elevation gain/loss 448 feet, avg. pace 11:15 (moving 9:34), and best pace 6:21.
