Durango from the park:
As you can see from the trails below, I need to bring my bike to this park some time. Dad takes after brownie in the head wear department, in red for the IU Hoosiers:
I tried biking there the following morning, but it was muddy and went elsewhere.
There are some big pines and cedars in the park. Not on the scale of sequoias, but big for Colorado, and it makes for a neat walk.
Dad's apparently a rain magnet since I've gotten drenched twice in the last few hikes with him. The skies opened up towards the end of our hike, complete with claps of thunder on the ridge right next to us. The rest of town was inexplicably dry...?
